This Privacy Policy explains how Claridad ("Claridad", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use claridad.io, the Claridad Android application, or the Claridad iOS application. Claridad is a guided meditation service based in Lima, Peru. For privacy questions, contact filip@claridad.io.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, hashed password, account language, authentication information, and account creation and update dates.
- Course activity: lessons and videos you have completed, course progress, active course, content reactions, and subscription access status.
- Subscription information: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, status, trial and renewal information, and discounts. Card details are submitted directly to Stripe and are not stored by Claridad.
- Messages and bookings: your name, email address, language, and the information you include when contacting support or requesting a live session.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, interactions, referral information, and diagnostic or security logs. Analytics and advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies to collect this information.
Information stored only on your device
Workbook reflections, private check-ins, meditation streaks, practice statistics, recommendations derived from your workbook text, and downloaded offline audio are stored locally in your browser or application WebView. Claridad does not transmit workbook or check-in text to its servers. You can remove this local information by clearing the app's storage, clearing browser data, logging out where supported, or completing the account-deletion process.
How we use information
- Provide accounts, meditation content, course progress, and offline listening.
- Authenticate users and protect accounts, audio, and the service from misuse.
- Process trials, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and account deletion.
- Respond to support messages and live-session requests.
- Send service, account, subscription, and limited product emails.
- Measure performance and improve Claridad's content, design, and reliability.
- Comply with applicable legal, accounting, and security obligations.
Service providers and sharing
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only when needed to operate Claridad, complete a request, protect the service, or comply with law. The service providers we use include:
- Stripe for payment and subscription processing.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads for usage measurement and conversion reporting, and Google reCAPTCHA for abuse prevention.
- Meta Pixel for website measurement and advertising attribution.
- SendGrid for account and service email delivery.
- FormSubmit for support-message email notifications.
- Hosting, database, security, and infrastructure providers that process data for us.
Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy terms. We use these providers for the purposes described above. Information may also be disclosed if required by law, to protect users or Claridad, or as part of a business reorganization.
Cookies and similar technologies
Claridad uses essential cookies for login sessions, security, language selection, and audio-language preferences. Analytics, advertising, and fraud-prevention providers may also set cookies or use similar technologies. You can limit cookies through your browser or device settings, although essential account functions may stop working.
Security
Claridad uses HTTPS, password hashing, restricted administrative access, signed audio links, and other technical and organizational safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and loss.
Retention and deletion
Account and course-progress information is generally retained while your account is active. Support messages are retained as needed to respond and maintain service records. Security logs and transaction records may be retained for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
You can request deletion at claridad.io/delete-account. After email confirmation, Claridad deletes the account, course activity, reactions, support messages associated with the account, and Claridad subscription records, and requests deletion of the corresponding Stripe customer where present. Some payment or transaction records may remain with payment providers when required by law.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may unsubscribe from optional marketing messages using the available link in the message. To exercise a privacy right, email filip@claridad.io.
Children
Claridad is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can remove it.
International processing
Claridad and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Claridad changes. We will publish the revised policy at this URL and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the service or by email.
